Biking Data Collection Session
by George Washington University Biking Club
GW Biking Advocacy Branch has a new event in store for everyone. Join us at the corner of 21st and G streets for a data collection session. The goal will be to calculate how many bikers pass through 21st and G streets and to tabulate that data completely. We will also do a survey session for bikers and passers by who happen to be interested in biking asking them questions about their biking habits based on prior data in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood.
The goal will be to tabulate the total number of bikers passing through the Foggy Bottom neighborhood using quantitative(from the computer) and qualitative (in person) data, find the number of crashes, and then find crashes per capita to give a concrete recommendation to Foggy Bottom's Neighborhood commission on where bike lanes should be placed. Snacks will be provided. We may also go for a short bike ride afterwards. See you there!
