Our Programs

Making the GW campuses, the surrounding community, and the world more sustainable through the university’s actions and the passion of its students, staff, and faculty is an ambitious aim. We invite all stakeholders to join the university on its sustainability journey. Learn more about our current programs:

The Loop

The Loop

The Loop is GW's free second-hand clothing exchange. As part of the Office of Sustainability's Textile Reuse Program, all donations at The Loop come from GW community members. Many of these textiles are passed along to local community partners, with some being brought to The Loop to provide accessible and responsible clothing options for the GW community.

GroW Garden

GroW Garden

The GroW Garden offers GW students and community members a place to learn about native, organic food systems by providing service opportunities in sustainable gardening, food distribution, and community outreach. The GroW Garden is a student-led program composed of student interns from the Office of Sustainability along with dozens of student, staff, and faculty volunteers.
