Biking Advocacy Meeting

Ever heard of 311? Concerned about the design of DC roads and want them to be more bike friendly? The Advocacy Meeting for the George Washington University Biking club will discuss that and more. This meeting is the foundation for the GW Biking Club's new push to increase knowledge of sustainable urban planning on campus. We hope to reduce noise pollution caused by perhaps too much unnecessary parking or the cars constantly streaming through Foggy Bottom's campus.

We are also concerned with biking accidents and hope to advocate for safer streets at GW by making sure traffic calming designs are installed at the right places across campus to ensure bikers, pedestrians, and drivers feel safer in our neighborhood. We will be discussing the ins and outs of urban planning and so bring your suggestions about how to make DC more bike friendly. If you have any questions about how to support safer streets for DC biker, this is the event to go to ask them.

See you there.
