U Pass

The George Washington University has joined the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) U•Pass program, providing full-time students with unlimited use of Metrorail and Metrobus for a discounted, flat fee. GW's U•Pass program officially launched in January 2022 for the Spring semester.

Student advocacy has brought this program to GW in order to provide students with accessible, affordable, and sustainable transportation options. The U•Pass program has the potential to enhance the GW student experience and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the DC area.
